ROEL CONSTRUCTION PROGRESSES ON CONSTRUCTION OF THE NEW VILLAGE COMMUNITY PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

Rancho Santa Fe, CA… ROEL Construction Company is underway on the new sanctuary and facilities for Village Community Presbyterian Church.  The project includes demolition of an existing 10,000sf sanctuary and administrative space as well as new construction of a 25,000 sf sanctuary and administrative building. 

Upon completion, the new sanctuary will be a 9,000 sf space with 25' high ceilings including architectural accents of wood clad exposed structural steel trusses with an elevated dome in the ceiling.  Additional site work consists of an entirely new plaza area including new entry and drop-off areas.  The existing pre-school has already received a brand-new playground area complete with play structures, a garden area and a tree climber made from an actual tree trunk salvaged from a tree removed from the site.
Church Administrator Bill Smith represents the owner, Don MacNeil is the Village Church Building Committee chairman, and Steve Horine of Real Estate Consultants is the construction manager, with Lew Dominy and David Keitel of Dominy & Associates as the architect.  Other consultants for the project include Josephson Werdowatz & Associates as the structural engineer, Kruse & Associates as the electrical engineer, Merrick& Associates as mechanical engineer and civil engineer Site Design Associates.  ROEL representatives include Ben Briggs and Dave Bates, LEED AP as senior project managers, Casey Kraning, LEED AP as project engineer, Vic Johnson as superintendent, and Dana Valade as project coordinator.

Subcontractors for this $11,500,000 project include Casper’s Concrete Cutting Company, G.W. Grading, South Coast Erosion Control, The Brickman Group, Certified Concrete, Inc., Minshew Brothers Steel Construction, Maxim Floor Systems, The Masonry Group, Elecore Architectural Accents, Progressive Steel Fabricators, Inc., Titan Steel, Equity Cabinet Company, Mark Beamish Waterproofing, Inc., F. Rodgers Corp., Buxcon Sheet Metal, Inc., Raymond Interior Systems, Ghainni – LaRussa Group, Inc., Sunstate Tile Contractors, Inc., Advanced Acoustic Contractors, Inc., Howard’s Rug Company of San Diego, Inc., General Coatings, California Aquatics, Bradshaw Engineering Corporation, KMP Plumbing Company, Inc., California Comfort Systems, and Prime Electrical Services. ROEL is self performing the structural concrete for the building.
