ROEL CONSTRUCTION PROGRESSES ON EXPANSION OF SERRA CATHOLIC SCHOOL

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA… ROEL Construction Co., Inc. is progressing on the Serra Catholic School expansion project. The three wings of the middle education building are receiving interior finishes, the exterior concrete flatwork is underway and the landscaping will start shortly.  Upon completion, there will be three two-story wings connected with bridges, totaling 52,694 square feet, which will serve the middle school as well as the school-wide library. 

A 13,065-square-foot gym is also being constructed adjacent to the main campus.  Currently, gymnasium equipment is being installed in the student activity center at the same time as overhead HVAC ducts and electrical conduits are being completed.  Interior paint is scheduled for the following week and flooring the beginning of June.  Construction is scheduled to conclude later this summer.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange is represented by Joe Novoa, and Steve Granich with Abacus Project Management, Inc. is the construction manager.  Architecture and design is by LPA. Consultants to the design team are Brandow & Johnston Associates, Tsuchiyama, Kaino, Sun & Carter, Konsortum 1, LTI, Geotechnical Solutions, Inc., and AWS.  ROEL representatives include Betty Lynn Senes, LEED AP as project executive, Mike Kearon as director of construction, Emmanuel Chaverot as lead project manager, Chad Barnes as assistant project manager, Gerry Reynolds as lead superintendent, and Toni Gsell as project coordinator.
