ROEL® CONSTRUCTION COMPLETES ADMINISTRATIVE COMPLEX FOR MORONGO BAND OF MISSION INDIANS
Banning, CA… ROEL Construction completed construction of the new Morongo Administrative Complex located on the Morongo Band of Mission Indians Reservation. This 72,000-sq ft design/assist project included a new 3-level structure with high-quality office space for the Morongo tribal members, as well as a 226-seat council chamber which serves as the focal point of the complex. The beautiful exterior building finishes include full height curtain walls with sunshades, copper cladding, and thin stone veneer on a sloped exterior wall.
Tom Linton, Director of Planning & John Easton, project manager from the planning development division, are representing the Morongo Band of Mission Indians. Larry Schlossberg, Morgan Wiener, and Chris Kennen of Gruen Associates are the architects. Englekirk Partners, Gotama Building Engineers, Associated Engineers, and Geocon also help make up the design team. ROEL representatives include Joe Prior as project manager, Luis Foglio as project estimator, Alice Trinidad as assistant project manager, Craig White & Fidel Olvera as superintendents, and Anna Turner as project coordinator.
Constructed using primarily union labor, various subcontractors were involved in this $27 million project including, Acco Engineered Systems Inc., Advance Fire Protection Co. About the Morongo Band of Mission Indians
The Morongo Band of Mission Indians operates one of the largest and oldest Indian gaming facilities in California on their reservation near Banning, California. The tribe has become the largest employer in the greater Pass Area, providing jobs for more than 3,000 local residents.
