ROEL Construction Awarded Data Center Improvement and Expansion for North County Transit District
San Diego, CA. . .ROEL Construction Company has been awarded tenant improvement construction for NORTH COUNTY TRANSIT DISTRICT (NCTD) located at 810 Mission Ave in Oceanside. This project will consist of a complete remodel and expansion of the existing data center and will utilize funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act). The project team plans to pursue LEED certification for the project.
The size of the current center will be increased by approximately 30% and the data infrastructure will be replaced. Additional work inside the data center will include installation of new SDT flooring, new acoustic ceiling system, and expansion of the existing Inergen system. Exterior work will include installation of a new generator and CMU enclosure as well as a solar panel system on the roof. This $ 624,680 project is scheduled to begin in November 2009.
Angela Miller, Chief Information Officer is managing the project for NCTD, Bob Mobach of LOGICALIS is providing the data design and expansion services. ROEL representatives include Steve Gray as the project executive, Dave McCarthy as senior project manager, Rob Netzer, LEED AP as project manager, Gary LaFever as superintendent, Tyler Mitchell as project engineer, and Mindy Bryant as project coordinator.
